Re Morrow Wind. Rpg Players.

Post by Darbs »

Quick question on Morrow Wind, Is it any good?. I had to toss up between Icewind Dale 2, Morrow Wind or Neverwinter Nights (of which some of the guys/girls have already commented on) and being a bit of a bore stuck to what i know and bought ID2. I see MW has dropped in price on Amazon and am just looking for some comments really before i decide to buy. Thanks in advance.

Hehe, that's like saying 'is Africa a large continent?!' Buy it!

Make sure you have an up to date graphics card though - one that supports pixel shading.

Make sure you've got a month or two to spare playing it though :)

Geforce 3 or above supports pixel shading - just so ya know :) (makes the water look tasty indeed :))

Is it any good? I could not stay away from Morrowind until I finished the main quest. Now I still have to finish all little quests too. The game is HUGE, fascinating and absorbing.
Now on to NeverWinter Nights.

Cheers

I was disappointed with NWN - Single player anyway.

Not as good as the BG saga which, isn't as good as Planescape Torment.

P:T Is king over all :)

A nice feature about MW is that it comes with a free editor. You can do absolutely anything with it. But I only suggest that you use the editor after you have completed at least the main quest. Otherwise it is very tempting to cheat ;-)

And it's very easy to wreck the gameworld if you don't know what you're doing!

Spooky is AdrianJ, another Aussie, he does work (he is doing work) for EGOSOFT. I think he is working on the other XMS forum of EGOSOFT too. He is a moderator because he can moderate, simple :D

I'm a level 31 imperial knight, and I'm already almost done with the thieves and fighter guilds quests, and I haven't even started the main one yet! MW rocks

Tribunal?

Post by Terwin »

Morrowind is the best RPG i've ever played. And one of the best games period! I was just wondering if anyone here has tried the expansion. I have it. But, i haven't played it yet. I started a new character, and i have a long way to go until i'm powerful enough to go there.

GeForce3 and GeForce4 Ti do--GeForce4 MX doesn't. I've seen cries for help from people wondering why pixel shaders aren't working on their brand new GF4 MX, and it's always sad to have to tell them they bought a lemon...

The expansion doesn't hit UK shelves until the 29th, AFAIK, so no-one on this side of the pond will have the expansion yet (unless they ship it over from the States).

Or aquire it through other sources.

I "hear" its quite good btw ;) (If they don't want people to "aquire" the add on pack through other sources they should fricking release them at the same time).
