Very nice, and not just a little bit terrifying, I love the background.

The background and the nova are actually an X2 screen shot
this was applied in bryce to a picture object and expanded to fill the frame
the other ships were then placed in front of the image and rescaled to give false perspective....
the ships themselves are made from simple bryce objects (mainly spheres and Torus objects ) and the textures are hand built in Bryce

Request? :D

That explains the slighly pixellated look of the Nova then.

Problem is, he has made them in Bryce, not Studio max, so he can't get them in the game with the current toolset. Hence my call to get this guy a copy of studio max :)

Or even better, can someone make a plug in for Gmax so that anyone can import ships without shelling out big big bucks? *echo echo echo echo* ;)

Anyway, yes, AVI please, adsl62dg@tpg.com.au

you may have answered this in a previos thread (forgive me, in old to the forum but a newb here  ) but where does the idea for these ships come from?

They are spozed to be boron rite? Look a bit mean for the aquatic pacifists.

the origins of the Cthulhu class interceptor and escort....
remember all those messages about pre Boron artefacts discovered Archeologist, in the game
well these come from a reace known mainly as the "Great Old Ones"
and the technolgy for the Cthulhu class ships was discovered on the Lost planet of R'lyeh hinted at in ancient Boron myth ( see older posts and image ) the technology was recovered from the remains of the R'lyeh Archeological expedition by Raliel Corporation scouts and shipped back for study..... the ships are a melding of this Mysterious pre boron tech and Argon ( Raliel Corporation technology ) and utilise some very unique
pieces of technology....

I bet if BBC remakes Blakes 7 then they would like the look of these for the new Liberator.

Fine work Ral
