[QoL] 7.60 Different default sector restrictions for mining and trading ships

Post by MODifikaTOR »

Is there a way to set different default sector restrictions for mining\gas and trading ships? I want to restrict Morning Sun IV for my trading ships and Hatikva's Choise III for my mining ships but i can't find a convenient way to do this except set up restrictions for every ship personally.

Blacklists/whitelists are inherited from the commander. Use stations and/or "mimic commander" fleets to organize your logistics. At the top you have global defaults for civilian and for mitlitary ships. On a per station basis you can set default blacklists for all its subordinates to use instead of the global default. Set lead miners or traders and specialize their their blacklists. Assign other ships as "Mimic Commander" to the leaders if you want them to use the specialized blacklists.

No you can't. Egosoft does not see this as a problem. As you correctly point out: The only workaround is to uncheck using the commander's behaviour and manually assign another behaviour for each ship.

Thats sad. The game lacks some QoL stuff in management. Is there any official topics at this forum or Steam discussions which devs actively read?
