Sometimes when going into a system and 2 factions are fighting each other, the turrets of the capital ships (I've seen this happen on two factions: Xenon and Split) will completely stop working a few minutes. They go 100% idle and do nothing even under hot fire.
The trick to make restore normal behavior is to teleport out of the system and teleport back in. It doesn't always work though, but mostly I'd say.

We cannot investigate anything with so little information to work with. Please see the very first thread at the top of the forum and provide the information requested there. In this case, a savegame that demonstrates the situation, preferably in a situation just before you enter the system, is also going to be pretty much essential.
