Hey all,
Last night, my Defence Platform fended off a major Xenon incursion. This left behind dozens of wrecks, included those of four capital ships. This is GREAT for my recycling operation. When I made my final save of the evening last night, one of my Teuta's was on the way to salvage one of those four large wrecks. Great.
I just loaded my save this evening, and NONE of those large wrecks are viable any more. I noticed this because the Teuta arrived, and its order - which is the autosalvage behaviour - instantly FAILED. Suspecting what had happened - this isn't new - I selected the Teuta and right-clicked on each of the Large wrecks. Salvage option not present, not even greyed out.
So, after reloading a save, four fresh large wrecks were immediately non-viable, even though they were perfectly viable for salvage when I made that save. Saving the game, while in-sector with wrecks present DOES NOT correctly preserve the game state.
Note: I've seen similar things with regular S and M-Class wrecks. They get collected by a Manticore BUT they then cannot be delivered when they arrive at the Processor. The Manticore just sits there, wreck in tow but never off-loads. Manually cancelling the order (clear all orders) sees the Manticore DROP the wreck, but it cannot be collected again with a manual order, as is IGNORED from that point on.
As the save does not correctly preserver the action game-state, I'm not quite sure what additional evidence can be provided. I did submit a save some time back showing this issue with S and M-Class wrecks not being delivered.
Is anyone else seeing this? I not 100% sure it's a save/reload issue - where the game state is not correctly preserved - however, everything was fine last night, but broken upon reload today.
Note: there were actually FIVE L-Class wrecks, one from an earlier incursion. One of my Tueta's had just finished salvaged that last night, before flying off. Indeed, several of the Scrap Cubes are still floating around.
Just wanted to throw this one out there to see if anyone else has noticed the issue. Here's break-down:
- Be in the sector
- Event produces various L-Class wrecks
- Wrecks are viable for salvage - i.e. Teuta is automatically heading to salvage them OR Teuta can be manually ordered to do so.
- Save game
- Reload game
- Wrecks are now broken, cannot be salvaged automatically or via manual orders.
I could make a bug report, but I cannot add any more information than I did previously. I.e. a save from after the event. The act of saving / reloading seems to be what breaks things.
Reload = Wrecks no longer viable for salvage

Don't have any salvage ops currently but I'll buy a teuta and see if it happens next time my gate camp kills some capitals.
Out of curiosity is this reflected in the displayed scrap content of the wreck at all?

Okay, so a K came through into Hatikvah's and died at the gate camp.
-teleported to the carrier, putting wreck in high attn
-ordered teuta to dismantle wreck
-saved
-loaded
-teuta still has order to dismantle wreck
-removed order
-can still add another dismantle order to the wreck
This is in vanilla. As far as I can tell there is nothing wrong with the wreck after a save/load in high attention.
