Ship mods with full interiors

I haven't tried out any ship mods yet. I noticed some mods that bring in the ships from X3 or X2 into the game but it seems like they all just have a cockpit and not a full interior.

The only mod ships I have found that say the come with a fully realized interior is the YT1300M and a Taxi. All the other ships are just a cockpit or bridge.

But again, I haven't tried these out myself.

Are there any ships that come with full ship interiors, or at least more than just a single small room with a pilot's chair? If not, why not? Ships like the Astrid show that it is possible. I guess I'd really just like to have a ship like the Ebon Hawk and be able to walk around my ship and say hi to my crew.

Then again, the Astrid is a special ship. Maybe the game would be hurt by having full interiors in every ship. So I want to ask what the limitation is preventing this from happening.

Ship modder here, with couple dozen X4 assets under my belt (OTAS, Skull & Bones and Reemergence). Making interiors is extremely complicated and time consuming; it is basically whole other skillset. The methods of working with materials are different (multimats) and there are dozens of connections that require extreme precision and custom animations. I can make several ships in the time it would take me to make a single interior room.
Combine that with the fact interiors bring absolutely nothing to the functional gameplay and there is virtually zero incentive for us to waste weeks of free work for a couple interior rooms that most players will run through once and forget they exist. I rather focus on adding things that actually impact gameplay, like my M-sized carriers, personnel transports, missile frigates etc.

Ask ENTANGLED to create something :D they or whoever they are create fantastic asset to x4

There is the mod More rooms for ships which adds several rooms to existing ships such as brig, bar, crew quarters, etc. (see description page). The only issue is that it seems Argon are the only crew that actually move around and use these rooms so depending on your crew they might feel a bit lifeless.

That mod is funky and all, but it does not have what I wish any ship would have by default: some sort of cabin or quarter for the player. I know that there is a private office in the player HQ. Some kind of private space for the player would be nice. I would use that all the time.

I think that is what the "livingroom" is intended to be.

A small number of modding artists, limited documentation on modding the game, and above all - as Rothank rightly noted - lack of significance in the game. You can create Command & Control compartment but for what reasons if strategic star map can be accessed under a shortcut key? So, lack of relevance to the game and lack of mechanics that would justify the efforts required to create interiors for the sake of immersion. I don't even know whether GUI can be altered the way it allows to see the map only in predetermined locations via a mouse click on an interactive entity, and not through shortcut key (?).
