So im pretty sure i mentioned this when first playing X4, and nothing has changed...
If im flying a ship, and can see something, lets say a Space station in the distance, why can i not use my mouse to 'Target it' until im practically on it ???
I can target the same station using the map From light years away?
Also, in previous titles i could aim the ships reticule at any object and hit 'target' and it would select that object, even if it was a mere pixel amongst the distant stars!!
Its so annoying having to go back to the map screen all the time to just target objects that are further than 10 meters away..
Targeting range, Map v first person is wildly different..

Yeah, I do wish we could target distant ships and stations directly instead of having to look for them on the radar or map.
Especially now that we have visual enhancement goggles.

No, they're available from the start. Y/Shift+Y to control zoom. I've mapped it to mouse side buttons. You can visually see things from about 70-100 kilometers away, and that's how you target turrets without cycling through every element on the enemy ship.Poacher886 wrote: ↑Wed, 16.
