Jump Drive

Guys, is behemoth E without mods or anything, suppose to jump from windfall to avarice I ? is this possible ? seems like a bug ? I thought they can only jump from gates to gates in order to reduce traffic ? No ? Game became x3 suddenly, i ordered my behemoth E to flee, because of OOS stations melt through in close range, i immediatly teleported to my destroyer so i can make game include plasma travel time more thus saving my destroyer (a move i usually make when i see one of my destroyer suicide charge to station or get too close for comfort)and because it took some damage i ordered remove all command then dock at RIP shipyard for repairs, it did jump with usual jump effects to border of avarice I ???!!! No emergency jump mod like that, so how ?

Was your destroyer near the respective gate to Avarice I? Sometimes, if your L/XL ship is within the bubble for doing the L/XL ship jump effect (as you say, for reducing traffic through the gate0, your L/XL ship will just do it immediately.
