Nopileos is the largest sector in the game. The distance you see, however, is a fairly rare bug that occasionally happens. When the bug occurs the marker somehow targets the gate in ANOTHER nearby sector and calculates distance to that. Nopileos is somewhere between 700 and 1200 km wide, I think.

A rule of the thumb is that small grid cell on the map is either 8 or 10 kilometers. You can estimate size based on that.

Oh, thnx good to know, but i am curious is there any reason why this particuler sector is way bigger than others
