I shall not steal Terran ships, no matter how rude they are to me when I ask for directions (my usual justification).

I shall not hang around the ANT - HOP - PAR battles, trying to bail damaged combatants.

I shall not pillage SCA ships on sight. I shall pretend they actually know to take the big space-pirate sign off their ship, and not go for them unless they target me first. Which means I shall also not purposefully bait them freight...

I shall not rush to grab all the Timelines ships, or any other claimable vessels.

I shall not enable the Hyperion add on until I am sufficiently well established to buy a comparable destroyer anyway.

I shall also not do any of the other tricks I've read about but never done (satellites etc).

I shall play this game as the honest, gradual trader / explorer / soldier of fortune / magnate / supreme overlord it intends you to be.

I've heard that admitting your bad habits helps keep you honest!

Ah, yes, new game resolutions. They seem to work about as well as new year's resolutions in my experience. Good luck with yours.
