I see a lot of mods for new ships or to change some behavior in the game. I haven't seen any mods for missions or for adding new stories to the game. Is that something that is possible?
I don't currently use mods since right now they seem to just add ships or mess with game mechanics. If there was a very good story mod or a mod that modified the mission system it might be worth having. Currently the only mod that really temps me away from having a completely unmodded game is the one for the Terran Accelerators.

Maybe you'll find these interesting? I found them in the "Gameplay" section of the X4 Nexusmods. I haven't tried any of them so I can't comment, don't know how compatible they are with latest version.

Your relations with all factions exept ScalePlate Alliance locked and negetive. To unlock relations with factions you will need to progress in storyline.
Outcast and Pirate Life
Outcast:
After 10 years of struggle you finally made it and were able to etablish your own two pirate stations in Silent Witness, but times changed, argons expanded quickly and few ownerless sectors are left. Life as a pirate has become harder and you lost almost all of your ships. Your trusted, modified and beloved Badger Astral is still with you, aswell as a few smuggler ships that can help you bring ur pirate status back to it's old glory.
Pirate Life:
There you are, 2 ships, a hauler full of spaceweed, a few good modifications you can apply and a galaxy with endless possibilities.
