...And possible solution for clumsy capships behaviour
Add more target points to large structures, both big ships and station modules.
It will ease main battery shooting. It will remove most positioning issues when destroyer tries to find remaining functional parts of the station. It will allow turrets shoot partially obstructed structures and capships that are on a border of fire sector.
After all it will improve aestetics of the big battles, because flows of projectiles converging at single point look unnatural.
I thought about target projection as 'lead area' instead of single lead point, but this may add extra calculations due to being dynamic. 5-10 points inside the geometry and little script that choses random one or by some logic to calculate lead point looks like nice compromise.


ps: it would also add some logic to battles including xenon i and raptor as longest ships avaliable, they can be shot way before distance between weapon and ship's center becomes weapon's range when weapon at side of nose or stern
