[#3770][7.5] Yasur drifts when in map

Post by Fluggonaut »

Steps to reproduce
  1. Launch the savegame. Situation: The player is sitting in a Yasur in Windfall, no velocity.
  2. Open the map
  3. Wait a short bit
  4. Exit the map and observe the velocity immediately
Expected result
We stay on 0 m/s.

Actual result
  • We seem to be hitting the brake immediately (from about 50 m/s). See screenshot.
  • While on the map, we can see our ship moving as well.

Check that you are not anywhere near an anomaly (purple ping when LR scan used). They can move your ship. When you go to map screen and flight assist is disabled on the ship, the push impact is more obvious.

In windfall there is a weird thing in effect whilst the tide is on. This is what allows movement of your ships. Especially noticable when sitting next to the gate to Avarice

I've seen the effect they're describing nowhere near anomalies before. Could never figure out how exactly it got started though.

Not sure if this is useful but, for me, if I pressed backspace while out of the map, the ship would make the throttle-going-to-zero sound and then it wouldn't happen next time I opened the map. It seemed like the map and regular view just disagreed somehow about what my throttle was at, and doing that reset it.
