I'm surprised this got past playtesting. Laser towers' turrets converge and track so slowly or not at all thanks to the changes made to the flight model, and the mines no longer track targets either - enemies have to fly right into them to set them off. Just fyi, before the changes, it was easy to get Rank 5 in this exact mission.
