I was thinking of maybe adding a possibility of assigning a sector governor lets say a "manager" for sectors that can take into consideration nearby sectors market based of star level and local resources (ore/gas) and build simple stations either himself or from my blueprints, build patrol/policy fleets from my own or AI wharfs to populate my own sectors. maybe at least choose a designation for a sector like focus on basic materials, food production, advanced tech or full defense sector if its a border with enemy. we could tranfer money which he can spend same as we do for stations.
This would encourage me to actually claim sectors for myself if i could automate at least a portion of populating it. Especially with the planned diplomacy addition to the game for which i cant wait
