Before I got timelines, I completely wiped out the Xenon. That turned out to be a bad move, since fighting them was fun. Ok, there's the Khaak, but they're not really much of a threat.
Are the new shipyards in Matrix 101 and Moo-kye's Revenge ever going to make Xenon ships? If not, is there any way I can make it happen? If it comes to it, I'm prepared to "cheat" some Xenon ships in (if that's possible).

Never seen either of those start with a Xenon shipyard in it personally. But even if yours do, somehow, Xenon economy is 100% reliant on medium ships.

Nah, the Xenon in your save are almost certainly screwed to the point of irrecovery unless you cheat. If the Xenon are completely wiped out, then there's not going to be any SEs to fuel wharf/shipyard construction and even if they were, they need to 1. be in Matrix 101 and 2. stay contained in Matrix 101, which it's doubtful that they'll do because the yields in 101 are poor and SEs have a habit of going after the highest yield asteroids in range regardless of the danger. You'll also need the Xenon to build a solar power plant, which AFAIK needs Energy cells to build... Matrix 101 will also be subject to raids from whoever the owner of Tharka's Cascade XV is (assuming it's not you), so even if you manage to overcome all the odds in getting them revived, there's a high chance that the Xenon will just get destroyed all over again without your input.Stabby Dave wrote: ↑Sat, 1. Never seen the Xenon build a shipyard in Moo-Kye's Revenge. Didn't think that was possible due to claim blockers. Unless you're mistaking those strange Xenon stations on the edge of the sector for shipyards? They don't do anything for the Xenon's benefit.

There's a Wharf and a shipyard there - albeit not fully built. Same in Freedom's Reach.

I would guess your Xenon put build sites there because of those weird asteroid-station things. With everything else lost, the faction probably prioritises places where it has something.

ok, so I installed the slan_cheat mod and used it to create a few Xenon S (it doesn't recognise the SE), but they just sit there doing nothing. Does anyone know how to get them working? Alternatively, is there any way whatsoever I can get a working Xenon shipyard ino the game? I'll try anything.

I don't think that mod is going to help, since it requires a preexisting Xenon shipyard to be present, and there isn't one.
What I need, is either a way of scripting in a working Xenon shipyard, or (if it's even possible), to edit a savegame so as to put one in.
Does anyone know how to do this?

I believe one of DeadAir's economy focused mods had a setting where you could prevent structures from ever totally running out of resources. Unsure if that would work for build storages, but if it did, then you could use it to resurrect Xenon since their structures self-build.
I guess the same thing might work via save editing, if you unpacked it and managed to find wherever its build storage wares were listed.

Please Egosoft can you do something about it? I mean you already add SCA ships our of nowhere. Why won't you do this with SE ships? Player should fight Xenon - that's their purpose. But if the player does fight them then Xenon go extinct without even theoretical way of recovery. It just doesn't feel right. You made sure that player can't eliminate VIG even if they want, but at the same time you do not give any tools to prevent elimination of Xenon, if the player actually wants them in their game
