When: Xenon had jumped through the jump gate nearby
What: After jumping, Xenons are able to materialize inside a station. See this short video for evidence.
I have seen several cases of this to happen, so it's not just a "one-off".
Initially, when building the station, it had happened twice. There I did not consider it a bug initially, because the hull structure wasn't closed yet.
After the construction of the dock was complete, it happened several times again.
The situation is endangering gameplay because:
- The Xenon is not reachable by any weapon, so you can't get rid of this target anymore. I saw that in at least one case that the NPC could "crawl out of the station" somehow again - then it was behaving like any other target again (and was brought down by the defense fleet).
- Fleets/ships with "defend" or "attack" command will lock on the blocked target, trying to reach the enemy - which equally is not possible.
As the enemy cannot be killed, they stay locked on this target for eternity - and hence their firepower is lost for protecting area/station. - The defense fleet (apparently) starts shooting at the enemy but due to the hitbox all bullets will always hit the station only, killing the station softly through friendly fire.
- The Xenon can drop laser turrets, which also materialize within the station and hence are unreachable like the original ship.
