Multiple capital ship weapons, when protected by the main shield, will cause AoE damage to be multiplied on it.

It's quite clear that a single light torpedo (4.8k damage) shouldn't be dealing 24k damage. The Hyperion's size makes it much easier for this area damage multiplication to occur.

I was hit by a single missile in the Hyperion, and it almost destroyed the ship and a components, so this seems like a real issue.
