Timelines unlocks lost when I reset Timelines - WAI

I reset Timelines because I wanted to do the story again from the start. I had finished it 100% previously. But I thought it would not affect my unlocks in the open universe. However, when I started a new game after 7.5 was released, none of the sectors were opened, none of the claimable ships were there, and I didn't get the Xperimental shuttle mission like before. Is this intended that I should lose all the unlocks when I reset Timelines?

Yes, it is intended. It is meant to be a full reset.

However any saves you have with Timelines unlocks unlocked will remain accessible.
As you know, starting a new game will not have Timelines unlocks unlocked until you re-obtain the reward.

Yeah, I've been working through Timelines again to get the unlocks back in my new game. Maybe the wording for the reset button should more explicitly indicate that unlocks for new games will not be available until Timelines is completed again? Because that was not clear to me when I reset Timelines, and I would not have reset Timelines had I known. I just wanted to see some of the Timelines story again, not lose the availability of unlocks for new games.
