Personally dock L with aux ship, seems not possible

I'm trying to dock the destroyer i'm in control with with an Aux ship for repairs.
But i does not seem possible.
It is possible to ask my ai captain to do it though.

Am i wrong, or how do i do it personally?

This is one of those things that would be a nice to do/have. Albeit, what I haven't tried is like with build storage, the player cannot "queue" the dock, but if you fly right up to the spot, it still kicks in the docking.

I wonder why you can't do it. At least for player owned to player owned.
After all, the AI clearly already has the docking thing, which afaik shouldn't be different from the player, just hidden.
