[Bug] Missing UI - Linux

As recommended I create a follow thread to this one: viewtopic.php?t=469118&sid=18893a163582 ... 3&start=40, because the issue is a different one.

The original thread was about that the branch 7.50 Beta 6 (up to 8.1) did not get past the startup screen. Using -skipintro resolves that. Now the problem is (no matter which branch stable or beta 7.50) that skipping the intro leaves me with a main menu without any ui elements.
