Skirmish / Fleet Combat Test Mode

With 7.5 on the horizon there appears to be much effort going into the new flight model and AI combat logic. Does anybody else think it would it be useful/fun to run player-setup "NPC vs Player" & "NPC vs NPC" fleet battles...for science? I envision something like the custom game start creator but with only a few sectors and the ability to compose, place, and give jobs to NPC fleets.

Certainly not a high priority. That said, having this ability could make data collection faster and potentially more standardized across the X4 testing community. I don't know about the rest of the community...but I could easily spend a few hundred hours playing "X4's Totally Accurate Battle Simulator".

P.S. If this is something that gets any traction at Egosoft, please consider a path to allow ship mods. Evaluating how mods affect ship combat is currently the most tedious (for me) thing I've found to test.
