Hello everyone,
I'm looking to enhance my gaming setup by adding a bass shaker to my chair. I was wondering if anyone has done this before and could share their setup details. Specifically:
What hardware are you using (bass shaker, amplifier, etc.)?
What software do you recommend for integrating the shaker with game audio?
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Hi
As this is not a script/mod issue I'll move your post to OT.

Re: Bass Shaker?
I have to start by saying that I've never seen any of those.
I did notice, when buying table mounts for HOTAS, that that vendor has also sim rigs and game chairs, which can take "bass shaker" or even something like https://qubicsystem.com/product/qs-210/
Most of the bass shakers that the rig maker did list as "mountable" had "LFE" in product name.
LFE, AFAIK, is a sound channel that has only low frequencies, unlike speaker (including subwoofer) channels. Presumably, the audio from game could have low frequency content and sound system could direct that via LFE channel to the shaker. Therefore, as example, one has to ask whether X4 has any LFE content?

But(t) it is. This sort of stuff needs game telemetry for a proper experience or this rattles with any in-game music track or sliding door.
@Nez52 mebbe this gives you an idea how to interface: https://github.com/bekopharm/x4-simpit
Reading boost or damage or speed is rather trivial with this.

Re: Bass Shaker?
You might have a better response in sim racing forums, there bass shakers are more common installments in the racing rigs to feel what a car is doing

Re: Bass Shaker?
I have transducers hooked to an amp driven by the main sound output in my simrig. I use it for flight sims but also after some tweaking (controller limit) I use it with X4.
Be warned without control over which sounds are produced by the shaker you are in for a ruff ride. I don't have such control in my setup and had to turn it off for X4 before my teeth fell out
