Model Export

Hi All,

New to modding in X4, and having a bit of trouble getting setup for exporting models, so hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

- Where is the blender model tool meant to be installed to? - I have let it install to the prompted path, but it doesn't show in blender when attempting to activate addons.
- Is blender 4.3 supported, or is 3.5 the newest version that this tool will work with?

And in the off chance that I can skip blender entirely (I work in lightwave), does anyone have a tool or link for getting things lightwave accessable? (once in collada format, lightwave will accept the files)

Ok, so it looks like I got the tools back to front.

The tool that I found to extract game models is found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5I84p ... _hAdPaa-DQ

It looks like it worked until a couple of years ago, and since then, nobody seems to have been able to extract ships or other models. Can anyone confirm this, or point me to the updated version of the extractor?

edit: for anyone looking at the blender tools, it does appear that blender 3.6 is the current latest version that it will work for (after much download, trial, and error)

Thanks for the tip about Blender 4.3 not working, saved me a lot of headache.

I tried the linked exporter, but it wouldn't work for me either, kept getting an error message that reads: The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP100.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix the issue.
