Are we getting the Geometric Owl as a starter ship for custom starts with that plot completed?

Currently you can get the Raven, Erlking, Dart and X-Shuttle, all nicely located around your HQ if you select the relevant plot to be completed on custom starts. Creative customs at least. Probably because these are special one way or another ships that you cannot replicate otherwise. Still need to buy or capture the Astrids btw.
The Geometric Owl was previously just another ship, but with the beta allowing it to keep it's cover system, it does mean that it is now a unique ship. So can the custom starts be updated to start with that ship too?

Bonus: Can we also have a start with both Astrids captured? I really rather not do it again...

I've asked the Devs for this and the answer was NO.

Also, the Owl is not the ship they are referring to when they mention keeping cover. That is a different Moreya called the Rodent.

Honestly, I would prefer if they let us get the various ships if we set a story to finished. I begged for this. But the answer was no.

If I was able to get "head of a Split" and a Cerberus when I set Boso to be in the HQ then I would always start with the HQ finished. But I don't. So instead, I have to do it all from the beginning again, slaughter Boso's Split captor, and claim my Cerberus that I earned. I have to repeat the mission every single time I restart. My mind just insists on it.

You also do not get the mission rewards, at least from the yaki quest line. It provides a good amount of exceptional crafting mods. Or if it does, i have no idea where they are.

Also I don't care about the rewards, if they aren't unique. One way or another I can grind them out again. What I want are the unique stuff you cannot otherwise get.
Well, I guess you actually do miss several paintjobs too, but you can't transfer those so I'll just miss them.

On the other hand the Rodent presents itself as YAK and "friendly" to XEN before the attack on the Amplifier. I usually use it to board the Xenon destroyer in Tharkas Sun (from the Timelines) unmolested!!!

The truth of the fact is that both Moreyas are not "special" after their plots, so why they should be included?

The "problem", as I see it, is that the Moreya (in general) can not be present in the Budget (therefore unmodified) start but only in the Creative (modified) even if both the Pioneer of Yaki plots are done and dusted. One way or another when (or if) Ventures are reinstated the player can use the Yasur ΜΚΙΙ way more faster and formidable than the Moreya.

Actually you don't get a Cerberus as a fact. You get the Sentinel version of the Frigate in the sector you started the HQ plot. That does not apply, of course with The Boron DLC enabled as you get the HQ just like that, except if you choose either the TER or the PIO starts. In that case you get a "bonus" Osprey Sentinel in the back end of nowhere you are send (in Teladi space of course) to kill the Splits.

That's true if it will survive the BETA... It makes the Litigious Rodent special then... On the other hand, if it keeps it's cover then destroying the Amplifier, visiting the Yaki Base after that and collecting the "goodies" become a childish matter. I hope it does not come to this.
