[Suggestion] Adjust radar ranges for ships according to role

As long as Egosoft is thinking about rebalancing ships, one stat I feel could use improvement is the default 40 km radar range for almost every ship in the game.

I would like if the cheap one gun scouts in the game got a big buff in terms of radar range. So should some of the larger capital ships. Maybe not nerf anything, just give radar range boosts to the ships that really need it.

I'm not that worried about the radius on scouts tbh. Long sensor range isn't the only way to get the job done—they are already highly mobile ships, which lets them do more with what they have.

I do think it makes sense that L+ military ships and particularly carriers would have better sensors, though. If for no other reason than they have room.

Also for flavour reasons, the Raven and Prometheus both look like they've got something of the sort on their models.

edit: if anything maybe the scouts would benefit from an innate detection range reduction.

Just be aware that the AI is actually sending scouts to check out enemy positions before launching a sector invasion.
It might reduce their activity if they can see everything and leave too quickly.

Feature request: scout radar range

Any chance with these radar range modules for stations could we also increase the radar range for scouts to give them some usefulness in the same vein?

It seems like scouts aren’t really scouts but sports cars.

I wouldn't see that as a bad thing.
