[Suggestion/QoL] Option to configure guidance marker/mission (non-)removal upon arrival

Post by azaghal »

When player reaches the guidance marker, the game automatically removes both the guidance marker and the guidance marker mission.

While this might seem helpful when player is merely intereseted in reaching a particular point, it does not take into the account that the guidance marker can have some additional benefits for player's gameplay:
  • Quickly tagging and keeping track of objects in vicinity, such as asteroids (for crystal mining), (hostile) capital ships during dogfights, piracy targets etc.
  • Highlighting docking platforms during station and ship approach.
It would be better if the game provided an ability for player to either enable or disable automatic guidance marker/mission removal via Game Settings.

P.S.
This is essentially the feature implemented by the "UI: Accept mission for later" mod.
