[Suggestion] Station "Barracks" Slots
Just a small Idea of adding unassigned slots to Stations for crew that are in limbo waiting for a new assignment. EG after a battle, rescuing escape pods and being in between buying a new ship. It would be nice to put them somewhere where they do not get lost in the shuffle of other ships. Possibly make it automated that rescued crew go to the nearest Station if rescued or when the Rescue ship is full of crew.

Alternatively (or in addition to), decouple the crew training facilities from terraforming and make it a station module so you can just build a dedicated training grounds station for a crew pipeline whenever you want during your playthrough. Even better still if you could ploink that onto a wharf/shipyard and have a setting that newly build ships pull their pilots, service crew and marines straight out of the training facility (if available and as selected in the options) rather than just generate stock pilots and crew.
The absurdly low crew experience level up rate is one of my most primary gripes playing vanilla. Without throwing pilots into fighters and subsequently into combat, none of them ever seem to actually improve their piloting skills (at least not measurably) so if I could just build a station to actively train up staff for me to use would be a godsend!
