One of the things I love the most about X4

When I first played X4 for the first time I had no expansions and I had never played or even heard of the previous games. I had only bought X4 because I was looking for something different from Skyrim.

I started out with Young Gun and since I didn't know what I was doing or even how to open the map I was just flying around and attacking random Xenon that would show up when I flew too far away to the sector's edge.

And then I got that email telling me to scan stations. Ok. Keep in mind I had yet to discover a jump gate and I had not yet used the superhighway because I was afraid I'd get lost and not be able to find my way back.

So anyway I talked to Boso for the first time and then followed his instructions. And Boom. I flew through the anomaly.

What? Where am I? What happened? How do I get back? I'm lost.

It was quite a moment. I see that the game Devs have tried to recreate this again with how the Terran Cadet gets the HQ and also with jumping into Leap Of Faith. It was really cool. Now that I know the game and know the map I don't really get the feeling anymore but it was still really cool the first time.
