Bug - Jians Freezing Autodocking on Tokyo

Post by Targ Collective »

Yes, there's ship storage room.

I've been experimenting with layered wing structures. Five squadrons of a Falx and Jian escorting; each of these ships is escorted by two wings of a Kalis and escorting Takoba each.

One wing a Falx with five Kalis, each escorted by a Takoba.

Four Kalis each with a Takoba.

This is precisely 58 S ships and 11 M ships - the most a Tokyo can carry including external docks.

The bug is simple enough - when recalling the fleet, the Jians land on the M dock but fail to go into storage. They also have a 'Resume your Duties' command queued. They can be manually placed into storage from the dock area, but not from the map screen. If placed into storage manually docking proceeds normally, but each Jian shares the Resume your Duties block.

I have to assume it's a size class thing. The S class ships do not have this bug.

As I understand you prefer, the DXDIAG and Vulkaninfo are enclosed, with the savefile. If you need more details let me know.

EDIT: I was suspecting this was a high awareness/low awareness conflict from being on the ship but not piloting it. I've built another carrier, and a Honshu, and the bug seems to trigger if you are in another sector. Suspect carriers don't expect wings of M class vessels nested in more than one layer.

EDIT: If in another sector and patient the docking seems to work fine. I've been testing with Marooning protection both on and off. Could be a high awareness/marooning protection bug? My testing environment was on the carrier, as a passenger.
