[Suggestion] take control of an existing faction.

this suggestion is just what it sounds like. either as a creative mode choice or a default new game start option, i think it would be cool to start in total control of an existing faction. this mode could be a great way for long time experienced players to jump right in and start in the thick of things without that early game grind. playing as the entire terran protectorate instead of just working for them would an interesting way to play. or imagine being in total control over one of the paranids in their civil war? or being able to play as the entire xenon faction, with their unique building methods, trying to take every sector by force? lots of fun possibilities.

just an idea. :)

If you are an experienced player, then you have played the game already. That allows budgeted start; a way to skip initial grind.

Existing factions do have fixed reputation with all other (NPC) factions. They have strict limits on how many ships (and stations?) they can have. They have also rules about where they can build stations, and they have infinite credit account. If you were to lead such faction, then you should play by their rules.
