Version 7.10 hotfix 3 English from GOG with SV, CoH & ToA DLCs no mods
OS: Windows 10

Description:
I have been preparing SCA ships (Heron E, Phoenix E and Behemoth E) for boarding and trying make crew to bail out improve my possibilities. Few times it have happened that ship is somehow able to escape when they get engine. Escape happens so that they instantly start gaining speed even their engine is around 30% of hull integrity.
Recently I started pay attention as I heard SCA Phoenix E was initializing travel mode and when I checked it had 2 engines (3rd was still destroyed) but neither of them shouldn't be functional as hull was below 30% (engine #1 was 1% and engine #2 was 24%). As I shot the ship to stop travel initialization I also damaged engine #2 to reduce hull integrity to below 20% but my boarding team was already starting 3rd part so ship moved to my property.
Next boarding again I heard when SCA Behemoth E made same thing. In this case ship gained speed and managed escape near 20km until my Behemoth E performed travel initialization and gained enough speed so I was able to catch the ship and from distance shoot to stop it's travel mode (and again I destroyed 1 of it's 2 fixed engines).

Common in all these cases was ships were using travel engines.

So have devs changed settings that ships are able to initialize / start charge travel mode even engines aren't yet working as this wasn't happening before or is there misconfiguration? So far I have used that if engine is below 30% it's inoperational and there's nothing to do. Between 30%-50% engine works but travel mode is slow. Over 50% travel mode works more or less normally.

Test scenario:
Player controlled Behemoth E is located in Memory of Profit X. Target ship (Scale Plate Behemoth E) is right in front.
Ship have 1 engine which hull integrity is 12%. Wait awhile and 2nd engine appears to middle.
When it have hull integrity over 35% and shield around 20% shoot once using 1 of main batteries so engine integrity drops under 30%. Wait and listen as soon ship starts charging travel mode while the engine #2 is still under 30% of hull integrity (engine #1 have stayed in 12% as ship crew and drones prioritize engine #2 repair). If need redo engine #2 crippling again by shooting single main battery shot but avoid destroying it.
