Hello,
ich started a new game.
I attacked a Terran miner deep in boron space, in the sector next to Kindoms End. I destroyed their turrets, killed the defense drones and lasertowers and i loose TER reputation for that. In boron space.
I tought that reputation loss far away of the targets stations or the targets enemy sectors/neutral sectors is not possible uless a emergency drone successfully emerges (that not happened). Also there was no other Terran ship arround us.
I lost 3 Rep boarding 2 L miners because of lasertower and defense drone kills. Also for shooting down the ships surface elements.
Same rep loss was for destroying a M miner and his wing of kukri.

It's not bug but WAI.
You will loose reputation from kills no matter where it happens.
Only difference is that if ship is in enemy (or player) territory it won't send out disrress beacons or call help from local authorities and even if it does they will refuse to notify that.

That's correct.
If you kill the ship and it's enemy of loca authority / sector controller then they will pay you and you get reputation from them.
For example if you destroy HOP ship in Argon space you loose HOP reputation from kill but on the other hand Argon will give you reputation gain.

Note that you can board (L) miners and freighters while they are docking ("critical" commands) without firing a shot and without any risk of them sending distress calls or drones. Mostly 10..20 marines are enough, so you reduce the risk of getting them shot.JasonX2000 wrote: ↑Thu, 31. Oct 24, 08:39 I lost 3 Rep boarding 2 L miners because of lasertower and defense drone kills. Yeah. That i would consider being a exploit, so i don't do it.RainerPrem wrote: ↑Thu, 31. And secondly i doubt they will dock at a boron station while being enemys to them.

That i knew. And they did pay me. But i meant if like the ship would be far away enough of other ships and station and the distress drone would not make it to its destination, there would not be a police attacking me even if i was in their space. Thats what i meant.BitByte wrote: ↑Thu, 31. Oct 24, 09:35 That's correct.

But i did understand that too correctly then.

Yes you're absolutely right. If you can destroy distress call beacon before it reaches near station or ship range it won't cause rep loss with locals nor make them angry against you.JasonX2000 wrote: ↑Thu, 31.
