[#2977] Having X4 stop responding after around 1-2 hours of gameplay - Unable to Reproduce
The game runs fine other than the fact that after about 1-2 hours of gameplay the game freezes and it pops up X4 has stopped responding. I don't think its a hardware issue as I surpass the recommended settings, my hardware is as follows:
ASRock Z790 PG Riptide
12th Gen Intel i7 12700KF
32 GB DDR5 RAM
AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB VRAM

You've not said which OS you are running. If it's Windows then please provide a DXDiag as well. If it's Linux then we need details of the distro at the very least. Please bear in mind that meeting the minimum requirements is a very small part of a system's setup; the exact configuration and driver versions are equally important to diagnosing problems that occur for one player but not for the vast majority.

Sorry, thought all of my system info would be in the vulkaninfo file. I'm running Windows 10 Pro, here is the DXDiag https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/e4gkjl61 ... iue3u&dl=0

Here is a hardware log done in a recent session that ended in the same way described before https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/g6oduhch ... i0qwj&dl=0
And here is an fps log of the same session, after looking at it a possible fix could be to limit frames https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/jt9uwkkt ... e818z&dl=0

There's nothing obvious in your DXDiag, though I do see crashes from a number of different applications and also some bluescreen errors, which between them suggest that there is a system stability issue somewhere along the line. Do you get a crashdump when the game stops responding? Also, is any part of your system overclocked, overvolted, or otherwise running using non-stock parameters such as tightened memory timings?

To my knowledge nothing has been overclocked, I've checked my AMD control panel and I'm not running any. Those other crashes are most likely from another game that had a breaking update and I've been troubleshooting that. I was just in a session and got a ctd while designing a space station, no not responding message before either.

As I said, the other crashes are from a variety of different applications, and bluescreen errors are not game issues; they are system issues. At this point I would be looking at things like memory faults, BIOS issues, heat, and possibly even power supply stability problems to try and work out what's happening.

So looking at the DXDiag X4 crashed from a memory leak, what would cause that to happen if I haven't modified my RAM?

If you're looking at RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64, that's not necessarily a memory leak. And neither the error nor memory leaks have anything to do with "modifying RAM". The top few entries do look like they would have generated crashdumps, so please have a look to see if there are any of those.

Re: Having X4 stop responding after around 1-2 hours of gameplay
You have a wide range of crashes there, rather than a single issue. You said earlier that your game is not modified, but has it been modified in the past? Disabling mods does not remove their effects from a savegame, and I'm wondering if some of these crashes could be caused by disabling mods.

No, havent installed any mods or even custom starts. I just got the game a couple of days ago and was learning the game before modding it.

Re: Having X4 stop responding after around 1-2 hours of gameplay
Can you also confirm whether you've done a full file verification using the Steam or GOG client? Another possible cause would be a corrupt installation.
To clarify, some of the crashes you've had are ones that we have seen crashdumps for before, but have not been able to reproduce or otherwise narrow down the cause of. If you have confirmed that your installation is not corrupt, then it would be very interesting to have a savegame and a series of steps (even if those steps just involve waiting) to reproduce one of these crashes.
Note also that some of the crashes do not appear to be ones we've seen before, and that the bluescreen errors in your DXDiag still suggest that you may have some system stability issues to attend to in addition to any game issues.

Running a steam verify right now. I don't know what would be causing system instability because other games are not crashing. Its just been this game and a game with a known issue.
Edit: Steam verified all 744 files

Re: Having X4 stop responding after around 1-2 hours of gameplay
Once again, this simply isn't the case. From your own DXDiag reports, the following have crashed:
P1: explorer.exe - Windows Explorer
P1: LariLauncher.exe - the Larian launcher
P1: bg3_dx11.exe - Baldur's Gate 3
P1: victoria3.exe - Victoria 3
And there are at least 3 bluescreen errors, which are nothing to do with any application.
As I said in the last post, though, we would be very interested in seeing your savegame if you have a means to reproduce an X4 crash even semi-reliably from it.
