Hello, everyone. Could anyone help me figure out what might be wrong with the humans' storyline? I started in the open universe and flew to the human systems, picked up their main storyline. After repelling a Xenon attack on their station, essentially the beginning of the story, I flew to the head of the special department and asked what to do next. She said, "Not so fast, pilot. I'll contact you when the time comes."
Weeks have passed, and I’ve almost finished building a huge station. But there's still no message. This is the storyline that essentially connects us with the Borons. Normally, there's an option to continue the quest chain right away. But here, I was unexpectedly told to wait. What trigger is she waiting for to contact me? And what should I do? Is all progress wasted? Is there a way to reset the world state and roll back all storylines to start them again?
The storyline for the humans, started in the open universe, isn't working.

How far have you advanced in the HQ and HAT plots? They are often prerequisites for further progress in other storylines.

I haven’t made any progress at all. While playing in the open universe, I entered the human sector, and that’s what triggered the start of the storyline. I remember starting as a Terran Cadet a long time ago, and everything moved forward right away—they immediately gave me the mission to fly to the Segaris Pioneers and infiltrate the Genesis Project. But now, it’s just, “Go take a walk, we’ll contact you,” and then they completely forgot about getting in touch.TheDeliveryMan wrote: ↑Wed, 16. The https://wiki.egosoft.com:1337/X4%20Foun ... Flowchart/ has flowchart of most plots.
The https://wiki.egosoft.com:1337/X4%20Foun ... rse/Plots/ shows starting requirements for plots.
For example, I did start my playthrough before version 4.0. Before CoH. I had PHQ when I did add CoH. A Segaris/Feynmann thingy did autostart. Much later (with +20 TER rep) I have entered "Solborn Militia", whose completion did open "Covert Ops" and "Yaki" lines.

How to get the HQ depends on what DLCs you have and which start you picked? Terran Cadet and Project Genesis have a unique path to the HQ plot.Hackod wrote: ↑Wed, 16. If you have the Kingdom End DLC you probably just need to fly to Heretics End, otherwise look for a signal leak around a station in one of the base game sectors.

Yes, the data leak was what helped. There was no real start to the storyline because I chose the open universe rather than the chronicle.TheDeliveryMan wrote: ↑Wed, 16. I'll write a more detailed explanation for those who might face a similar problem:
If the same thing happened to you, you’ll need to fly around the central systems in scanner mode near any stations and search for a data leak. You don’t need a quest for this. To understand how to do it, you can complete the tutorial. In short, you turn on the short-range scanner and use the sound to navigate—if there’s a leak on the station, you’ll hear it. Also, sound waves may appear in your targeting zone, which indicates a nearby leak. You’ll need to fly as close as possible to this leak in scanner mode, and if it’s the one you need, Boso Ta will contact you without the Genesis Project infiltration quest, thus starting the quest chain to obtain the Headquarters.
Great opportunities come to everyone, but many don't even realize they've encountered them.

You'll hear it only if you are already very close. Instead, you should look at the small black elliptic display in the center of the screen, which appears long before the data leak is audible and shows how close you are (height of bars) and (highest bar) in what direction (right/left) you need to look. Note that you can get the second dimension (up/down) by tilting your ship 90° to the left or right.

Also if you have Kingdom end, The HQ is moved and given to you at the start of that quest line.
