What i noticed is that trader ships from producing stations are waiting at the last delivery or sell location.
That is very dangerous, and i start loosing ships because they prefere being a waiting duck at a station under xenon attack in stead of flying back first to the save base where they are working for.
I mean my production base area is "quit safe" but not the stations they deliver to, how do you have them waiting at their home station for the next trade. I tried to google it but i couldn't find an awnser to this question, i must be missing something how do you change their behaviour.
Station traders waiting at the delivery station and not fly back first.

Re: Station traders waiting at the delivery station and not fly back first.
There is not. Main reason is depending on the needs of the station, it may need a resource close to where its last trade was. So to not have wasted flight time, it waits. If instead the ship has new out order for the station it's under - it has to make that flight anyways.
Only thing I can think of as a workaround is doing a free trader on repeat orders, where it has a fly to in between pick up orders.
Perhaps a mod for trading allows for this, but no way to do what you want under a subordinate wing

Maybe you could set up a global blacklist for dangerous sectors and set as default for all traders. Your traders should then avoid these sectors but this doesn't help if you specifically want to supply a particular station with wares. In that scenario it would be better to manually send the trader and add a 'fly to' or 'dock at' command to the end of it's orders. Or as Duncaroos suggested, use 'Repeat Orders'

Re: Station traders waiting at the delivery station and not fly back first.
There is pretty much no way to make it work like that in vanilla. I tend to use a small trick to make my traders work on repeat orders while still being logically assigned to my wharf/shipyard and it works great. No clutter on unassigned ship list and traders are much more agile that way, they also never wait at my production sites, always park close to my ship production facilities. However this process works basically "backwards" in comparison to what you would want to achieve.
You could in theory have a ship on repeat orders that would always come back to production stations, assuming that you would lower the buying price to minimum, but then you risk that your traders will travel with very small amounts of wares at times, this all depends on how fast you can produce things and what is the distance to target stations. That way, with repeat orders, your traders will immediately go back to you production sites, assuming they can see at least 1 unit of stock being produced and available there already.

A repeat order similar to this:
- Fly to Position near your factory
- Buy at your factory
- Sell in specific sectorss or to specific factories at some high price
- Sell in specific sectorss or to specific factories at about average price
- Sell in specific sectorss or to specific factories at some lower price
