Fighters idle during enagament

Post by Jar B »

One of my carriers is deployed in Eighteen Billion Two Grand to protect mining operations from Khaak aggression. Fighters are deployed to three defence positions in close proximity. By chance I've found one position engaged with a handful of :khaak: but to my surprise many of my fighters were idling, not approaching enemy fighters next to them. This immediately changed once I've teleported IS.

Is this new in v7? Is there anything I can do to improve pilot responsiveness? Is my Ryzen 5600X finally at its limits and there's no more excuse to upgrade? :goner:

I think this is already a reported problem, ships freezing in place during combat, it's happening in my game all the time. As you say, in High Attention mode, all is well.

Without a savegame and more details, including whether or not your game is modified, it's impossible to say whether this behaviour is expected or whether there is something strange going on. I suggest you make a post in Tech Support and provide the information requested in the very first thread at the top of that forum, so that someone can take a proper look instead of just guessing what might be happening. :)

That I can do. Plenty of :khaak: nearby.
