It looks that in 7.10 devs changed containers and lockboxes default color from grey to blue. This makes spotting them more harder when using default color scheme without faction colors.
As friendly factions are blue color too containers can easily become unspotted near stations or battlefields (like near jumpgates).
If color needs be blue could it be more lighter or if there's any other color that wouldn't be mixed with faction for those whom use faction colors in their map?
Before posting I made search in the forum and found that someone gave feedback during the beta about containers colors with same reasons than I wrote here.

Just a thought, but you may be able to find the loot container default colour in the listing in the new accessibility/colourblindness options (Settings, Accessibility Settings, Colour-Blind Options) and there change the related colour and/or glow levels.
A dog has a master; a cat has domestic staff.

Some containers are grey, some are blue. Is the difference being whether one of your own ships killed the target or not? It seems like ships killed by other NPC factions drop grey boxes on the map, and ships killed by me or my owned ships drop blue colored boxes. I may be wrong, but that may be the case.

The blue containers can be picked up by your ship. The grey ones cannot, typically because they're the wrong class of item, or because in the case of missiles, your ship's allotted missile space is full.Falcrack wrote: ↑Sun, 25.
