In 7.10, the new follow camera has been changed to rotate the view when the ship rotates. This happens even if you've positioned the camera (num pad hotkeys) to look at the ship from a specific vantage. Even using "SHIFT+F11" to enable camera mouse movement doesn't disable the pitch/yaw/rotate. Older versions did not do this, you could look behind your ship and if your captain started barrel rolling and zig-zagging, you were still looking at the same scene without all the amusement park nonsense.
I tried looking in the extracted files but it's not obvious to me where the camera is. I saw a "Cinematic Camera" in some LUA files but based on the functions, it appears related to the live stream view and not the follow camera. If anyone with more indepth knowledge of the codebase would be able to write a mod that effectively detaches the camera's pitch/yaw from the ship, I would at least be grateful.

My main reasons for the request are:
1. I like to ride as a passenger and record battles. It is near impossible now because as soon as my captain blows up a ship, she zips away and I can't see it explode due to jerky camera
2. It can become visually uncomfortable after a while

An option to make the 3rd person (external) camera fixed would help with motion sickness.
I've been using external ship view when flying the Odysseus vanguard so I can orient the turrets to better hit fighters. Problem is the camera moves whenever the ship turns and also when switching targets. Makes it really difficult to to get your bearings in 3d space.

Yes i would love to have old camera system thats why i stopped play x4 after 6.0 becouse i cant handle new camera rotation in 7.0 its just so frustrating watching that spin of ship . If someone make mod to put old camera stability in game i buy u a coffe heh, for year.
So for now im stuck in 6.0 and hoping everyday someone will make old camera stable rotation and position .
