Bottom line on top: game ran fine on my system on 7.00; eagerly patched to 7.10 and game is unplayable. It's seriously ticked me off that I'm trying to revert to a previously downloaded version of X4 and it's not working. I'm kinda done with this patch.
I'm running an AMD Ryzen 7 1700X (8 core, 3.40 GHz, older-ish), with 64 GB RAM, and a Radeon RX 7900 XTX (new-ish) video card. Haven't touched video settings in fivever...was running on "High". Game ran with minimal if any video issues at all on 7.00. After installing 7.10 (no patch from 7.00 to 7.10 on GOG?), game ran fine on initial load but severly lagged after a bit, like 5 minutes or less. I've got an end-game save (multiple bases, lots of ships), not modded, probably started this on v5 or v6 Young Gun. I was, prior to upgrade, searching for Erlking stuff so I was in Windfall. When lag began to be noticeable (AMD tool reports 8 FPS...?), I started digging in. It does not seem exclusive to Windfall sectors. I upgraded AMD video drivers from 24.3.1 to 24.7.1 (latest available), downgraded MSAA 4x to 2x (X4 video settings were complaining about MSAA and Volumetric Fog), and moved Volumetric Fog from Medium to Low then none. No change in performance issues.
Details:
When I noticed the issues, I went to graphics settings and there was an alert about MSAA 4x conflicting with Volumetric Fog set to medium. I don't know if this is a new complaint but this has never been an issue before. I changed it...Setting MSAA to 2 then changing Volumetric fog to low then none.
It should be noted/underlined/emphasized that I have had no graphical issues at all with 6.20 or 7.00 with my settings (graphics settings in X4, OS or video card settings/drivers) prior to updating to 7.10.
Despite having no issues with my existing drivers (24.3.1), I upgraded to 24.7.1 and did a factory reset. No change in the issues.
Specific issue is that when I'm in the station representative for Vigon in Windfall Union Summit I, I will fall through the station about 30% of the time I load the save. If I manage to get to a ship (shift-D ftw), my framerate is pitiful (I do not dispute the AMD software calculation of 8 FPS...it's THAT choppy).
I'm going to make this post, delete my 7.10 save, downgrade to 7.00 and play (EDIT: That is not working because apparently I don't have 100% 7.00 files downloaded. I'm not happy). If support has any further requests, happy to retest but I'm hoping that everything I provide will be enough.

Same here.
Savage spur has become unusable since patch.
Now today suddenly, getting less than 1fps anywhere, loaded an old save, unplayable, had to ctrl - alt- del.
never had a problem with he game prior to patch!
Playing timelines missions, no problems there.
I don't have the latest system but more than capable of running X4 up to the patch and then much worse today.

If you think you have a similar problem, you need to provide the same information as the OP did.The very first thread at the top of the forum wrote: ↑Thu, 29. Nov 18, 23:19 However, technical issues other than consistent game bugs rarely come from identical causes even when their symptoms may appear to be very similar. For this reason, please do not just add 'Me too' posts to threads as these are of little or no help in identifying and correcting the issues.

Re: 7.10 prod 75373 Video lag new after update
As a follow-up, was finally able to wrestle with the GOG settings and revert to 7.00 hotfix. Game loads fine (the #6 one; can't load #7 cause that's saved from v7.10). I'm walking around in the Aurora casino and flying around, frame rate is as expected (AMD software is reporting an average of 121 FPS).
I bumped the MSAA back up to 4x. This gave the warning about volumetric fog, but there's no noticeable performance change...so I don't know if that's actually doing something or not.

More testing results; I installed 7.10 alongside 7.00. All results are with the same referenced save files and configs/settings dumped above.
Using the #7 save in 7.10, I've turned all graphics settings to low and turned off Anti-aliasing and Upscaling. Surprisingly, the video lag is still present unless Upscaling (aka AMD FSR 1.0) is off.
I didn't mess with trying to fall through the world but that seems to be a frame-rate related issue.
Then, on a whim, I returned settings to pre-7.10 state minus 1 (MSAA 2x instead of 4x...all other settings returned: Graphics Quality High, Upscaling AMD FSR 1.0 Quality). Severe lag disappeared. There is some residual video lag but not as bad as the falling-through-the-world issue.
If I load #7 even after successfully modifying my lag, I'm getting 1-2 FPS. But if I load #6 or #8 (a save I made locally after the lag issues), I'm ok. FPS is around 15 (which is legit tolerable).
It almost seems like something in save #7 is "bad" and then I was able to change video settings, reduce the lag, make another save, and then be ok regardless of video settings. That doesn't make any sense but it's what I'm observing.
Hopefully that helps further identify the problem.

Confirmed from loading #7 save game, the lag is gone. Great work.
