I would like to suggest a couple of simple additions to include in future updates:
- Direct access to station's navigation panel from the player ship. For those who don't particularly care for walking around stations. So they can, for example, go from the ship's "elevator" directly to the trader or the ships dealership.
- A hotkey to sit on the pilot seat, just like the one that lets you get up, but with the reverse effect. Infact a toggle (IMHO) would be quite useful.
When I am on the map screen I often use "Alt+D" to give control to the pilot so he can pickup drops, attack, navigate to explore etc...
It's handy not to have to switch to cockpit view to select the pilot, as it is now, to fly the ship I have to click on the chair. I am
asking for a shortcut that lets me get back to the pilot seat from the map screen, hence the thought of a toggle on a single hotkey.

You're much better of making individual suggestions that allow people to discuss the merits of specific ideas, and give the developers a chance to review that discussion in an organised way.

It sounds like the goated mod for XRebirth where you could sit in the ship and comm everything to get it done. Ego added it later to vanilla in a slightly different (less op) form. Nice to have. I always do customs with research done so teleporting kind of scratches that itch. CBJ is right though you do have to advocate for every single feature wish with some form of measurement. I could go on a disturbingly long rant about custom starts and what's lacking or fine.

I had read your post previously that's why I only mentioned 2 suggestions, which I thought were quite relatedCBJ, in another similar, thread wrote: ↑Thu, 8. I originally wanted to post them in the Dev.net/l3+ideas but though I was allowed to post there, when I actually tried to do it, it said I was denied access.
That has changed, I can post there now. Would that be correct place where to mention this kind of topic?
*** EDIT
I see your post about rules and guidelines for submissions. I will have a read and hopefully get it right.

So does teleport research allow you to travel directly to specific areas of a station from your cockpit? I have not researched it yet in my game so I can't check for myself.Baconnaise wrote: ↑Sat, 10. As far as mods go, there is a mod for x4 (Accessibilty features by Kuertee) that, among other features, also reduces the need for walking to get from the ship to various destinations on stations.
I know it is overall a trivial matter but depending on playstyles, for those who visit traders and mods workshops regularly, getting from A to B without walking takes out a bit of tediousness.
In my case there is an added reason to skip the walks, my pc struggle a bit with the framerate when on station and such excursions do cause me a bit of "motion sickness"

Teleport research allows you to station bomb with PHQ or teleport to your ships or stations (allies too?). It generally dumps you into the lift of the ship or station. I haven't tried Kuertees mods besides the UI one. Have you tried running? I think by default the run/sprint key isn't bound. If you haven't already turn off volumetric fog in settings. Lower your draw distance. There are several mods you can use to help smooth it out. SirNukes extra game options can give you sliders to turn off masstraffic (mods too). Steam and likely Nexus have several that turn off asteroid rotation. Removal of all but larger asteroids. No fog mods. Every little bit helps.Brinnie wrote: ↑Sat, 10. Thank you for the info, I appreciate it.
I think I am set up to always run. It is not that I find I am moving too slow, I just think it is tedious. It is a personal opinion of course but I find no fun in station walking so I would take the choice of skipping directly to the destination, even if I had high frames.
I do welcome your suggestions about improving FPS as that would be very useful when fighting. I have already turned most if not all things to low or disabled and in my previous playthrough I used the mods for fog and rock reduction but I have not reinstalled them since the latest game update, not knowing if they still worked. Mass traffic I have reduced by editing a config file.
Cheers.
