I must be doing something wrong here, because I abandoned all hope of using larger ships and tailor made a super fast fighter squad (all Split ships but with ARG engines for faster travel mode) with shield piercing weapons specifically for this one ship, and it\s just not possible to kill it before it jumps away. I fly the X-shuttle fully modded, but even with +70% shield it's made of paper so I can hardly do anything before I have to disengage. With me I have 100 S ships and 30 M ships - even as fast as they are they can hardly reach the ship before it jumps away - and I stay around the unclaimed sectors where it has so far teleported to.
Managed to get it down to maybe 85% hull before it pissed off again. Am I supposed to saturate every single of these sectors with thousands of ships to have any hope, or is there a trick? The Boron says to damage the hull so it can't jump away, which I have done, but it still jumps. And there's no engine nor jump module I can target.
As usual, tried googling for an answer but seems very few have actually done this, and fewer still have talked about it online. Just want to be done with this overly lenghty debacle.

Re: How to kill CPU ship at end of Xenon Crisis
I finally managed to kill it, but it took 5 Rattlesnakes placed around the sectors where it spawns, about 200 S ships and 100+ M ships, all dotted around the various sectors. Lost my X-shuttle, lost a Rattlesnake, and countless fighters. It also took several hours, because no way in hell can you kill this thing in one go unless you're extremely lucky.
Bad quest design; if it needs to jump, it should instantly reappear somewhere else, and have a longer cooldown between jumps (cooldown should only start once any player ships are within sensor range of the CPU ship).

I have not done it, but can't you just put a bunch of asgards everywhere and then just use it?

Is "Xenon Crisis" same as "Existential Crisis" (that is in the base game), or it is something from the Timelines DLC?

Asgards are far too slow, I'd have to pump out a literal buttload of them. S and M ships saved the day in the end (a lot of them).
Yes, the endgame crisis available without the Timelines dlc.

Even if you take down it's shields below 33% to make it stop, it eventually heals and jumps away and come back. If you have a proper savedgame then roll back until 7.1 patch. Bugfixing incoming with it.
