Betty Spam : Attention - self - Faction -attacking- "target aquired" -faction

Post by Starman01 »

Hi all,

since i have updated to 7.0 i have this very annoying problem. I cannot 100% outrule that a mod might be to blame, but I think somewhere an audio notifiction has turned on, and I don't know how to disable this.

According to my observation this is most likely a problem when stray bullets from my capital ships (which are guarding a gate) accidently hit the gate itself , since there is an "unauthorized attack" message spam in the text box too. What makes it even worse, is that Betty doesn't just say this once, she is trying to say it many times at once, resulting in a massive pile of garbled together word salad. It might be also a friendly fire issue, but i think it's the gate hits.

I have setup a fire authorization override, which sets every faction to "restrained" for all except xenon and khaak.

Does anyone have an idea where this can be turned off... At times it is such an awful avalange of these words, it makes the game unplayable.

Thanks for helping.

I have never heard that in any game version. If you have mods installed it's probably a good idea to turn them off and test it with a creative start to see if it can be reproduced in vanilla.

Thanks, maybe then it's related to the friendly fire mod (though I had that disabled to test), i check again, for updates too.
