[Solved] [7.0] Xenon crisis doesn't start after research and investigation

Hi,
I have finished the "Fleet-wide Sensor Research" and then investigated the CPU ship.
There is now a message telling me that Boso Ta would take a while to review the data.
Since then (2 in-game hours ago) I am waiting for Xenon attacks.
How long does it usually take for them to spawn in?

Are there additional requirements? With 1.8 billion in military ships I should be well over the threshold.
Maybe it is relevant to mention that I haven't done any of the High-mass teleportation missions because my HQ is right there where I want it to be.
Could this be a blocker?

I haven't even seen this, how do you start it? I'm a couple hundred hours into a new save in 7.0

Sorry, I didn't mean to spoiler anything. Maybe the mods can move this to the X4 Spoilers forum.
If I remember correctly after reaching >500 Mil. in military assets adds an optional research project to start the crisis.

Ok. Solved. It took 3 hours until after the mysterious ship investigation until the first wave of Xenon and Khaak came. And they keep coming.

I'm experiencing the same problem, even 5 hours after getting the message. Do you recall doing anything that might have triggered it? I've tried changing ships, changing sectors, reloading, exiting the game, re-loading and starting again from the research option. Nothing seems to be able to get it to trigger.

Sorry, no idea. I didn't do anything special, just maintained and upgraded some fleets close to my stations as a preparation.
Then finally there was an initial wave of Xenon and then Khaak in one of my sectors. And after that I got an urgent message from Boso Ta to meet in my HQ.
