hello
in my game sometimes xenon forces attack the yaki wharf in savage spur 2
its not a big deal prior to update 7.0, they usually sends a couple of M and P, but with 7.0 they send an H first followed by an I
the station have killed thwe attacker but its in shamble, they cant defend another attack
why this is happening?
i cant destroy the xenon becouse the sector leading to savage spur 2 are the only xenon sector remaining and i dont want to destroy my universe
i cant save them becouse its impossible to reach savage spur 2 without a serious wipe of the xenon forces
mission status
im at the point where i have to push the doom button against terran
theres a failsafe for the yaki base at this point in the questline?
this game is such a mess, i have to defend the xenon from dying, they get destroyed by faction without my intervention
i have to defend the yaki from xenon, the thing that supposedly protect them but i cant without put them in danger
why do i have to babysit every faction instead of having fun
yaki base attacked by xenon

Yeah, this has been happening for a long time. If I remember correctly it was reported at the time.
The problem is the Yaki don't retaliate so even a single M ship will eventually destroy the wharf. I've found the solution to 'fixing' it is to have a ship parked on the wharf, teleport in sector, undock and shoot a single shot at one of the Xenon. Somehow this flags them as hostile to the Yaki and the wharf actually fights back, destroying the attackers.
Usually that fixes the issue for a while and the Xenon and Yaki go back to ignoring each other.

but unfortunately the last attack was far from a single p or a couple o m
the h did little to no damage, but the following I destroy half of the station, i cant supply the build storage but even if i managed, i cant reach the station with a builder, without of course destroy half of the xenon population
another attack like that and the station is no more
but why?
xenon is supposed to be neutral, i have to worry about that pesky asgard already, devs what the hell

Re: yaki base attacked by xenon
According to an older post by one of the forum moderators over here, the Yaki base will respawn in a simplified layout (think I remember one post from a dev calling it an "emergency base") so long as the plot isn't actually completed yet.
As for why it happens, I don't know. I do know while we're using the Litigious Rodent and stuff there's sometimes a chance the cover fails, particularly when you drop in and out of nearby Xenon range, and the cover-switch seems to have trouble switching that rapidly and gets stuck in the "off" position. That's for the player though; I don't know how it's handled for NPCs, especially when the Yaki's native faction after losing cover should....still be Yaki.
If you're at the step where you still have to drop nav beacons, that probably means the amplifier is still active, so the plot shouldn't be complete yet, but I can't be sure since I've never done it that way.The Yaki HQ station will respawn as many times as required (in a less complex format than initially mind) as long as the Yaki plot is incomplete. Once the plot (not including the follow-on mission to clear local sectors of Xenon) is over, the HQ is vulnerable to permanent loss.

thanks that make me less anxious, but still, i very much prefer to have a functional faction if in the future they insert some kind of xenon revival protocol or i just to annoied to care about and wipe the xenon out finally finishing the plot of the yakiKoizuki wrote: ↑Sat, 13.
