7.0\7.10B BUG Drones can't launch from frigates

Bug present in 7.0, 7.0 HF1 and 7.10 Open Beta.
Modified: Yes and No (bug present in both states, discovered in modified game)
Game Start: Any
Software changes: Only paintjob access mods were installed at the time, no other mods

When attempting to launch drones from any frigate, the drone will ascend to the launch pad, but never take off. After several seconds, the drone will either disappear, or be drawn back down into the frigate, before another drone attempts take-off and bugs out in the same fashion. This will repeat endlessly until the drones are set to disarmed (currently tested with Cerberus and Osprey).
This happens no matter which launching command is used for the drones, however the escort command is a more obvious way to observe the bug. No drones can be launched from frigates in my saves.
No changes have been made to the software of the game, other than (after bug discovery) the removal of all mods, and file verification to determine if the bug happens in vanilla game saves.
NOTE: On some occasions, the drones may successfully launch from the frigate, though I have no idea what enabled their successful launch. This is rare however, and usually the above bug will continuously take place.
NOTE 2: Usually the bug cycle begins with a drone sitting on the pad for ~2 seconds, before disappearing.

Thanks for the report. Can you provide a link to a savegame where this happens reliably if a particular sequence of actions is followed?

The easiest sequence to cause the bug would be the following:

Have a frigate (Cerberus provided in save file), attempt to launch drones via escort setting and arming, then watch.
The drones will cycle attempting to launch and perhaps rarely will actually be able to launch. What enables them to finally launch is unknown (and seemingly random), as is the cause of their failures to launch.

*Edit: reloading the save sometimes seems to allow the drones to launch, and I realise I've sent the above save with drones already on the pad so they may successfully launch. For testing I'd simply disarm the drones, let them dock and attempt launch again, usually the bug reappears after this.
