Started thinking about this as I located what seems to be "the bridge" on a Crane E I boarded and realized that while the bridge internally has a rounded window, where it seems to be externally is a thin flat line of lights.
Wouldn't it be possible to give the bridge itself an external design like S and M ship cockpits have, then leave a little cut-out when modelling the ship and slot in the pre-made bridge module there? I mean, they get repeated across several ships each.
Mind you it might be easier to just replace the window dirt texture at the edge with some faint hexagons and go 'actually it's a screen inside the ship'. I think one of the Skunk upgrades did that.
How come capital bridges aren't externally visible?

Somewhat discussed before. The added problem is that the missing bridge window is often the cargodrone access.

Huh, that is weird. I guess I've never launched the things while on board because I hate how slow they are, but wouldn't it be strange to see them flying directly into where the bridge is??
Maybe I'll try nudging a nav beacon with the crane's windscreen to get a closer idea of where it's at...
