Automatically replenish lost ships

Hey. I searched and couldn’t find a proper answer, so please be gentle if this has already been answered.

My question is: is there a way in the game for fleet commanders to automatically replenish lost ships? For example if a destroyer lost a fighter escort and they would be allowed to request one at the player’s wharf or an AI wharf.

Is this a thing already without mods?
