Purpose of the Quettanaut representative?

Wanted to talk to the Quettanaut representative to see blueprints & licenses, but can't talk to him. I presume it is because of the barter economy? Note; already finished the Dart & X-Shuttle missions.
Started with 20 rep with them, so dunno if you might get them through the promotion awards, which I didn't got due to the high starting rep.
Tearing down rep to rebuild again to force the promotion award doesn't seem to work, murdered a whole bunch of their trade-ships in a way to get rep below 20, but kept stuck at 20 as lowest rep.

Note; I get plenty of other missions where they do pay me credits for doing them, just curious to know how to get blueprints & licenses (trade & police) if available.

After completing Timelines, when I discovered Mitsuno sectors, I had 7 rep with them to start.

Cant find enemies in sector / No criminal traffic / Cant trade etcetera.

As the MD in Timelines says .. Missions missions missions.

For a few days they have been like finding rocking horse poo. I did one and got up to 8 rep.
Now I just found an escort a miner mission, had to fend off about 10 Kha'ak in the XPerimental shuttle ..
.. And that one mission took me up to 11 rep, and gave me the invite to see the Quettanaut representative.

He gave me three of the station module Blueprints.
I'm guessing there is more to come with higher rep.

I dont know if it makes a difference, but I am on the beta channel testing 7 beta 1.
Also dont know if you are using mods, if so maybe thats a difference too.

Cheers for the reply, seems my save is indeed bugged then (vanilla playthrough). I started with 20 rep with them when I loaded in my game after timelines finished & didn't got the award ceremony due to it. Missions were easy to find on the other hand, they've been spamming me with it (no barter ones tho).

Managed to get their blueprints through EMP bombs. Thanks to folks in reddit, I did find out one new module can only be gotten this way;

I also got the license (Police) through levelling up the Rep'.
Main way of getting there for me was the random "Miner Escort" missions, because they generate Kha'ak in sector which dont seem to appear in my game in QUE sectors otherwise. So killing the Kha'ak to protect the miner gains the Rep with the little thank you messages from the Quettanauts. You get 6-8 Kha'ak kills per escort mission.

QUE faction is incomplete, and its not working as it should, sadly, we need to wait who knows how long for ego to make it functional.

i had to go back a couple days, and i found out Ego broke the Experimental shuttle (grandmother epilogue) , it spawned without engines or any equipment and it does not move, also it can be targeted and destroyed.

Have you put in a bug report?. It spawned ok for me .. viewtopic.php?t=463880
I'm not doubting you, this game has had many instances where one players unmodified game can not reproduce the same situation another players unmodified game has seen, thats why Egosoft like our saves/bug dumps so much to route out the problems.

did not do it because it was posted by someone else, and i believe they said to be fixed in one upcoming build.

Very odd things happening here too!

I completed the Timelines missions and story line and I have completed the Epilogue of Timelines in my sandbox game as I got the achievement for it.

Honestly at his point something already smelled wrong ---> viewtopic.php?t=464120 --- as the only way to progress for me was wiping out the mines as the YYYYs TTTTs guy was nowhere to be found (no mission guidance to somebody whose "basani" most likely was blown up jazuras ago, only god knows by what).

But... those Quettanauts just don't trade at all: can't access any "trade" options nor docking myself, nor at distance (for docked ships), impossible buy and modify ships at their Shipyard and Warf, even talking to the Rapresentative gives out just greeting lines with no other options for buyng blueprints and such.

Even more odd when close-exploring their stations I keep receiving offers and discounts on their wares.

My Rep with them is +7 as prompted at their introduction in the game I guess, so should be enough to trade.

Also: they don't give missions, any type. They just keep there, isolated and useless doing nothing but filling some space.

Since I came up on this ---> viewtopic.php?t=463223 (where last lines are interesting: "Argon Span conneciton 01 (got this while recieving rank from faction representative)"), in wich it seems things go very different for different players: receiving ranks? They all seem dead to me: they do nothing!!!

What… What is happening here??????? :rant:

The representative has only just been added (or at least only just appeared in my current game) - had already reached 14 rep, but can't interact with them for anything (blueprints, licences) so kind of pointless so far.

The Rep has been in my game since completing Timelines, and then progressing the sandbox side of Timelines.

I worked up from Reputation level 7 to 10+, and got the Promotion ceremony with the Representative which granted me 3 station modules and a few licences (automatically given at the ceremony, no need to purchase any).
I'm now at Reputation level 19 working towards 20+ where we get another blueprint (I think the 4th blueprint is the Spire habitat, but not sure if its going to be L or XL sized yet, I'm hoping for the latter).

So there is a use for the Representative, to get the Ceremonies/Licence/Blueprints awarded. He just doesn't sell anything in the usual way.

If you havent attended any Ceremony yet at Rep Level 14 .. Have a look in your missions in case you missed the notification.

I'm on beta 2, started current game after timelines - there was no QUE faction rep, and no invite at rep 10 - I seem to have a few blueprints which I asume were automatic, but nothing about licences - the faction rep appeared with the current beta, but doesnt do anything :) Probably started too quickly, before a fix was applied..

That said, there are no missions to do either, so QUE are just pointless until fixed further.. I did the xperimental shuttle series of quests ok though.

Thats quite possible. When Beta testing I always have a save to go back to so I can re-run anything that may have been missable in the last beta.

Oh missions I spent ages trying to figure why I was not getting any, they seemed to be rare as rocking horse poo ..

But I eventually figured out if you are in the near vicinity of any stations (close enough that you get the station Info panel pops up), and just sit there for a while, those random QUE missions come through one or two at a time. The wait can still take a while, but being close to stations is key I think. Put SETA on and watch the mission offers while sat next to a station. I usually hang around for ten minutes while doing something else on the map, if nothing comes move on to the near vicinity of another station. They seem to be themed too depending upon what type of station you are next to, a station processing resources will offer up those Escort Miner missions more often (among other missions they offer). I recently built a Defence station for the QUE, the mission only earned 1 point of Reputation, but more importantly it was another station to hang around for more mission offers, and they seem to be more biased towards defence type missions. Sitting next to it I got an Attrition mission, kill 10 Kha'ak ships no time limit, which I have never had before.
