Hello,
I believe I've found some kind of a bug - or - I don't know why this is happening.
Namely, I have two big stations in Terran space (I began this game a long time ago, I don't know which game version, but it's old (can I look that up somewhere?).
I have removed all assignments from those two stations, and it was calm.
As soon as I put couple of subordinates to the station for trading, Terran in that sector start attacking my ships and I really don't know how to stop them, except reloading. Removing subordinates doesn't "fix" the situation.
I also see no reasons in the logs telling me there might have been something wrong, like Police-Scan gone bad or so.
My standing with Terran is +26, I believe my game started as Terran in their space.
Is this a bug?
Thanks
Kosta

Re: Terran forces attacking my stations
There is a long existing bug with police checks: If your ship does not stop for some reason, police becomes hostile. This seems to happen, if an uninterruptible state is active, such as 'Docking'. It is rare, but it happens. If it happens near your station, the station fires on the now hostile ship. From there it escalates, and there is nothing you can do about it.Kosta88 wrote: ↑Tue, 25. The other possibility is, that your ship (or the pilot) had illegal wares.
If this happens immediately after giving the station traders (assignments), I think this points to something illegal. Check the assigned ships, and the stations.
You see your version after starting the game in the loading menu, at the top.
So - reload and check this, before assigning ships and also check the ships. If you had set one to collect drops, the pilot may have illegal items in his inventory. Visit all the pilots and ask them to give you their inventory.
Best be present, when you assign ships and watch, what happens. And yes - the logs should be better...
EDIT: Since your save is old - check your global orders, and check the default behavior of your ships with police controls: It should be 'Comply'.

Re: Terran forces attacking my terran stations
At the moment I assigned the ships to the station, they were not in the sector, they were like 5 sectors away.
No illegal wares, because I do only trading inside of my stations, I have 3 types of stations, mining, production and wharfs/shipyards. So they produce all internally. But: I will check if I can find something.
With version, I meant which game-start I took, if that helps at all.
And no, no ships collect drops or something, as I said, just internal trading of resources for building ships.
And yes, global orders is set to Comply.
Is maybe there something if I have high standing with other factions that might impact how Terran forces react?

Re: Terran forces attacking my terran stations
At one of my stations, I noticed there is a TER Mineral Miner Hokkaido which is attacking the station.
Could that be some kind of trigger? Why would a mineral miner attack a station?
Hmmm.... Stimulants? Are these illegal? Both stations have Stimulants on board. Maybe it had to do with the modules I built long ago and they now just finished and produced stimulants.
Now, is it possible to destroy them or dump from the station?

Re: Terran forces attacking my terran stations
No idea - but if you assign ships to your station, this may be sort of a trigger: Are you sure, the building locations are paid for? Check this before assigning ships.
But 5 sectors away - the ships are not even in TER space, correct? This serves as a trigger, I think.
It also may be, that something happened - the miner attacking your station could be hostile, because the station fired on it - collateral damage? Maybe the station fired on a Khaak. There are Khaak in TER space, but usually only in Asteroid Belt.
Just teleport to the stations before it starts and look around. There has to be some reason.
It is not impossbile, that this is a bug, especially if the last time you played was with an old version.
You could put up a save here, as requested and the developers or some nice fellow players could look.
EDIT: And yes, stimulants are illegal in TER space, AFAIK.

If anyone has a save, ideally shortly before the issue occurs, it would help with investigating.

Yes, stimulants are illegal in Terran sectors but not in Pioneer sectors. So you should not produce or trade stimulants in Terran space.
